![]() With your lease coming to an end, there are a few things to keep in mind as you prepare for what’s next. Infiniti Financial Services (IFS) has made embarking on a new lease or purchasing an Infiniti (your current vehicle or a new one), easier than ever. End of Lease Options Owner Loyalty (Preferred Customer Retention Program) Vehicle Inspection Frequently Asked Questions Options We’ll be in touch as the end of your lease approaches. IFS sends out letters at 9 months, 6 months and 3 months prior to your scheduled maturity date. These communications outline your lease end options and the exciting offers available should you choose to do business with us again. Included with these letters, you will also receive an all-line product brochure, a wear and tear guidebook, and a postage-paid business reply card so that you can inform IFS of your end-of-lease plans. You essentially have three options when your lease comes to an end: 1. Lease or Purchase a New Infiniti Vehicle Turn in your current vehicle and lease or buy a new Infiniti. IFS’s Preferred Customer Retention Program (see below) makes this a particularly attractive option! 2. Purchase your Current Leased Vehicle There’s no better used vehicle than the one you already know and drive! If you elect to purchase your vehicle for its residual value, you can also avoid any potential excess kilometre issues as well as any excess wear & tear charges. You will not be responsible for any costs other than the predetermined purchase price (residual value) as outlined on your Lease Agreement and any incidental charges that may apply. Examples of incidentals could include items such as applicable sales taxes, Safety & Emissions testing, vehicle registration fees, etc. Should you choose to purchase, and require a purchase loan, IFS can assist you with your financing needs, OAC. Please see your Dealership for more details. 3. Return your Infiniti If you decide to simply return your Infiniti, we will make the process as easy and seamless as possible. IFS’s Customer Remarketing Department will contact you via telephone approximately 30 days prior to maturity to answer any questions that you may have. Prior to your maturity date, it is strongly recommended that you contact your Infiniti Dealership to schedule an appointment to drop off your vehicle. The Dealership will ground your vehicle in your presence using an internal website. At time of drop off, the Dealer will print off an IFS Grounding Receipt to be signed by both you & the Dealership. This form will in turn be faxed to IFS for our records. To avoid any unpleasant surprises, it is highly recommended that any potential excess wear & tear issues be remedied prior to grounding the vehicle. An independent 3rd party inspector will complete a detailed electronic condition report within 48 hours of grounding. IFS will assess the condition report per the pre-defined wear & tear parameters and contact you directly should any additional monies be owed (see below for additional information on the inspection procedure). Back to TopPreferred Customer Retention Program IFS’s goal is to ensure that we demonstrate a sincere appreciation for you, our valued customer. The transition into your next Infiniti should be simple and hassle-free. The following are the benefits that you will enjoy as a loyal IFS customer: Pre-Approval. Providing that your credit history has remained satisfactory, IFS will communicate your pre-approval via the 6 month letter. Exclusive Rate Reduction. As a loyal customer, you will be entitled to receive an automatic 0.25% reduction off of the posted lease or finance rate. Waiver of Security Deposit. A security deposit will not be required on your next lease. Option to Maintain your Current Payment Date. If it happens to be convenient for you to maintain the same payment due date as the lease that you’ve just concluded, IFS is able to accommodate this request. Back to TopVehicle Inspection To ensure the process runs smoothly and fairly, IFS has selected an independent 3rd party company, AutoVIN, to complete all condition reports on behalf of IFS. All of their Field Inspectors are certified, receive continuous training and are up-to-date on IFS’s standards and procedures. To alleviate any concern or anxiety over this process, IFS provides a detailed wear & tear guide in the 6 month mailing that you will receive. This guidebook outlines exactly what IFS considers normal versus excessive and also provides a Driveway Check-up tool which enables you to perform your own assessment. If still in doubt, it is recommended that you schedule an appointment with your Dealership to assist in making sure that any potential problem areas be remedied prior to grounding.
